I completed a six-month internship at Reaction Engine Ltd, working in the Turbomachinery Department. Whilst there I completed a wide variety of tasks, including: producing research reports, technical reports and engineering drawings. I lead the communication process between Reaction Engines Ltd and their new sub-contractors and oversaw the logistics of one of the first large scale interdepartmental projects. I was also given the task of holistically designing a new piece of turbomachinery (a flight compressor), employing a multitude of new software and design techniques I had learnt. This culminated in a revision to the specifications for the whole project based on my updated mass calculations for the compressor. Throughout my time there I vastly improved my professionalism, time management skills and an array of software.
